Your files never leave your phone
A cleaner app asks for deep access to your storage, and being cautious about that is entirely reasonable. So here is exactly what Nimbus Cleaner does with it.
- Processing happens on the device File scanning, photo grouping, compression, notification review, app listing and battery readings all run locally. Personal photos, media, notification contents, installed app lists and file contents are not uploaded to a server.
- No account, ever There is nothing to register. The app asks for no email address, phone number or social login.
- No advertising or analytics SDKs The current build includes no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, Firebase or account login services. If that ever changes, the privacy policy and the Google Play disclosures are updated first.
- You confirm every deletion Files, apps, photos, notifications and metadata are shown for review before any cleanup action runs.

Questions worth asking
Particularly the ones about permissions — a cleaner app asks for a lot of them.
No. Scanning, similar-photo grouping, compression, notification review and app listing are processed locally on your device. The app does not intentionally upload personal photos, media files, notification contents, installed app lists or file contents to a server.
No. Nimbus Cleaner does not require account registration, and there is no sign-in screen anywhere in the app.
The current app build includes no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, Firebase or account login services. If any are added in a future version, the privacy policy and the Google Play data disclosures are updated before those services go live.
Depending on your Android version, the cleaner features need broad storage access to review files across shared storage — that is how junk files, large files and duplicate photos get found in the first place.
Any permission can be denied or revoked in Android settings. The features that depend on it simply stop working; the rest of the app carries on.
Clearing notifications requires Android's notification listener permission. It is used to review and clear notifications and nothing else, and it can be turned off at any time in Android system settings. The notification cleaner is optional — every other tool works without it.
Deletions may be permanent, depending on Android's behaviour and your device's storage state. Nimbus Cleaner shows every selected item for review before a cleanup runs — check the selection carefully, and back up anything important first.
